Hi Amitai,

Super impressive slide deck! Any chance I could get an electronic copy for private use? I noticed the slides are not available for download on Slideshare. Thanks for the consideration.

Best,
Justin

John, I'm not sure if there is a mshup coming down that pike that could do as good a job as some of the collaborative tools out there (Basecamp for example) or that a mashup would have any relevence if the web continues to develop along the lines imagined in the semantic web.

What do you think?

Tinu - there is no simple answer to your question! I guess the first place to start is by being clear about what your objectives and what it takes to start and maintain a successful blog.

Here is a Google search that might help - let me know.

Kenneth:

Question 1 - I think you should do both, pulkish your own pages and use networks to post your profile.

Question 2 - Hmmmm...in a nutshell I think the new genre of job boards speak to the frustrations of candidates and job seekers who want a better way to relate to eachother during the recruiting process.

Compared to the other models I think the trick is to recognize the value of each and every tool and integrate them in ways that might give you an advantage. I'm not sure its ever a case of one is bettre than the other in concept although clearly some serviers are better than others.

Two questions:

1. Thoughts on optimizing your profile/resume on your own website versus LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.???

2. Thoughts on new players in the space (climber, trovix, itzbig, notchup) and their approach to "matching" candidates to jobs and their alternative models (pay to contact, pay to interview, pay per job??????

Val, here are two useful resources:

1. Here is a link to a page on BROWN BAG RECRUITER which lists a few of the sites that were mentioned in the presentation.

2. searchnewz publish a comprehemnsive list in their Meta - Search Directory.

Hope this helps.
